Pathological Media Amnesia – ROLLING STONE
During the Trump kangaroo trial, there was an uproar when some reports came out that Judge Merchan's daughter has a company working with the Democratic Party and was fundraising on its behalf off of the trial her father presides over. Trump dared to mention this wrinkle involving his own court case. There is at least a legitimate question if there is a conflict of interest, but not according to the pro-Biden press. Many outlets were in full-throated outrage that anyone might dare use a family member's business dealings to call into question the character of a judge, including Rolling Stone, which described such as an "attack," and they were "bashing" the daughter.
Now, that same outlet comes out with a scathing report (it seems to think) about Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. It turns out her husband, an attorney, is representing the Fox Corporation in a lawsuit, and this means…it means…um, something, we have to assume. This is because while making this a banner headline story, we never get an explanation as to why we should really care why a lawyer is representing a company in a court case not appearing before his wife.

Think back that for two solid weeks, we were told how outlandish and unacceptable it was that a Catholic football player delivered a Catholic-centered commencement speech at a Catholic university. But as Harrison Butker was targeted for cancellation, we see this telling counterpoint that is going completely unaddressed: Historian Ken Burns spoke at Brandeis University and spent the bulk of his commencement demonizing Donald Trump and lecturing how vital it was to prevent him from achieving the White House.

No one in the press is bothered by this improper use of a commencement responsibility, and no one in the press is calling out how this compromises Burns as an objective historian.

News Avoidance Syndrome – CBS NEWS
Over the holiday weekend, there was a vicious attacker apprehended in Massachusetts after attacking four girls at a theater, and then a couple at a nearby McDonald's. After being brought into custody, there was also a person found murdered at their residence. This is normally the kind of story to have the press all kinds of excited, except for a pair of disqualifying details. The killer is a trans individual, so the media will stay absolutely mum on that aspect, and since all of the victims were stabbed and not shot, that precludes the normal gun-control scripts from being used.
So, this story has already evaporated from the media cycles.
The suspect who allegedly stabbed four young girls inside a Massachusetts AMC movie theater Saturday night was "laughing the whole time," the mother of three of the victims said. https://t.co/oGWURxC5qN

Legalized Press-titution – ASSOCIATED PRESS
Calling them "whores" is such a harsh term – but a completely accurate one all the same.
Hollywood, and especially movie theater owners, are rather concerned with the way that the summer blockbuster season has so far been extremely disappointing. A number of expected hit films have flamed out to this point, and speculation is that there just have not been the major releases that draw crowds.
The Associated Press comes up with an idea that is – shall we say – less than a solution. The news syndicate declares that we need to see more lectures on the climate in the films most already are not interested in seeing.
Hollywood movies rarely reflect climate change crisis. These researchers want to change that https://t.co/aoLPVbUjdR

This is a daft idea, to be certain, but it makes a bit more sense when you consider that the AP is simply filling a quota. It would be at this time that we remind you that the news syndicate has been paid to deliver climate change news coverage.
The Associated Press says it will hire roughly 20 journalists across Africa, Brazil, India and the U.S. to expand coverage of climate change. Philanthropies — including one run by James and Kathryn Murdoch — are paying for a lot of it. https://t.co/9IvC0set3K

Blue-Anon – CBS NEWS
Joining in on the environmental idiocy was CBS News, which cites a study that allegedly says you can save the planet by altering your diet:
A new study shows just how much each swap, like switching beef for chicken in stew, saves greenhouse gas emissions. Switching food and drink purchases to very similar but more environmentally friendly alternatives could reduce greenhouse gas emissions from household groceries by nearly a quarter.
This does not promise to lower temperatures, just that you can supposedly buy food that is delivered with lower CO2 output…we think. The report is filled with contradictions. After opening with the suggestion we cut meat out of certain dishes to go vegan, it then cites a portion of the study that says, "Consumers do not have to make drastic changes — like giving up meat — to make smarter, climate-conscious choices." It also states we can make smarter CO2-friendly food choices, but "while consumers are increasingly aware of the environmental impact of the food system and willing to make more sustainable food choices, they lack reliable information to identify the more environmentally friendly options."
And good luck if you want to read for yourself to determine if it is worth a damn; CBS News does not link to the study it extensively points to.
Nearly a third of carbon emissions come from the food and agriculture sector, but switching what foods you buy could cut your household's contribution by a quarter.https://t.co/zWRbRlbu3e

Switching what news outlets you consume can cut your ignorant lecture consumption by 75-100%.
