Legalized Press-titution – "60 MINUTES"

  • How does Biden manage to get the message wrong from the Biden administration?

On Sunday, President Biden sat down for a softball interview with Scott Pelley, and two basic things were expected; Pelley's interview would set things up to be like Tee-ball and then declare the president won a Homerun Derby contest, and that Biden would become a trainwreck, even on a segment edited in a friendly manner. Those two basic things did, in fact, play out.

In the course of the sit-down, Biden declared the pandemic to be over (angering those on the left), he sold his recent 8.3% inflation to be a positive, and the man who just spent weeks calling those on the right violent fascists decried Trump made politics about personal attacks.

The most astounding part, however, is that Biden took the bold stance that if Taiwan came under pressure from China, we would respond with American troops. This response was so incorrect that "60 Minutes" actually issues a correction from the White House about 15 minutes after going off the air.

It is not only incompetent in appearance that the president does not know the official position on international matters of his own administration, and this is not the first time he has contradicted his own policy on this topic. Complete ineptitude on display in primetime.

Blue-Anon – WASHINGTON POST

  • "This context-free photo supports my beliefs, so I'm running with it!"

Over the weekend, a photo from a Trump rally was circulating where the audience members, after being asked, were holding up a single finger above their heads. Many a dolt on social media indicated this was a group issuing the Nazi salute. It was only a matter of time before some verified important media figure would fall for the image, and right on cue, we have Jennifer Rubin delivering the goods.

But she goes further than just retweeting; Jenny managed to deliver a full column about the event. Comically she claims Trump played a Q-Anon song and declared that the "Number 1" hand gesture is a Q-Anon symbol en route to the woman who is perpetually wrong to announce, "The media still doesn't get it!"

Low Octane Gas Lighting – THE ATLANTIC

  • Quick! Someone notify the J-6 Committee!

The Atlantic had a team of writers coming together to figure out just how the riot on the Capitol came about. To heed, these geniuses figured it all out. It was done with memes. They are not kidding – that is the collective conclusion. That Donald Trump used memes to inspire the January 6 mob.

Liz Cheney can actually put her feet up now and start to enjoy her constituent-mandated retirement in relative ease.

Matching Media Memorandum – THE NEW YORK TIMES

Following Ron DeSantis' airline flights to Martha's Vineyard, The New York Times felt this was an item worth reporting. It would seem the late-night comedians who hate Ron DeSantis disapproved when Ron DeSantis made his move. This is not landmark reporting; it is positioning things as if they were a news item to simply repeat all of the insults hurled at the man who is also disliked by The New York Times.

Both Kinds of Standards – WASHINGTON POST

  • It's starting to appear that white people cannot have any living condition that is not hateful.

Just a little bit of a news refresher because this took place a few weeks ago, and it appears the press members have already lost their messaging. When the news of the water crisis in Jackson, Mississippi, was all the rage, there were accusations that the problem was rooted in racism. One of the ways the whites were responsible was because they moved out of Jackson. Now comes the Washington Post to describe another plight in another city, Oakland, California. Schools are closing in the city because they are severely underpopulated, so the school board is condensing the buildings. This is seen as a problem being fed by the fact that gentrification is taking place. So now whites are to blame for moving in.
