Exploring Harry Potter's birthplace
JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books and one of Britain's richest women, wrote the early novels in an Edinburgh cafe to save on heating costs. Today the cafe and its surroundings attract many Harry Potter fans, especially ahead of Wednesday's worldwide release of the latest Harry Potter movie. The more adventurous fans even make it up to the Scottish highlands where the real-life version of the Hogwarts express train runs once a day.
