Last week, NBC news anchor Brian Williams made it a point to make Arizona Jan Brewer look disrespectful toward President Barack Obama, saying, "The governor of Arizona with her finger in the face of the President of the United States. You don't see that often or maybe ever so what was this all about?"
We know what it was about: Obama's failure to handle a little criticism Brewer threw his way in her book Scorpions for Breakfast. Media everywhere had a field day, and pundits made claims her actions wouldn't "help her," while ignoring that her book sales skyrocketed after the "confrontation," where Brewer handed Obama a letter, in which she offered to buy him lunch. She planned to welcome the president to her state and instead of thanking her for the hospitality, Obama whined and complained about her disagreements with him. Boo hoo.
The Media Research Center has done some digging, and found Mr. Williams with his finger in the face of another president back in 2006.
So, not only did Williams try and make it look like Brewer was the only person who has ever shaken a finger at a U.S. president, but his confrontation and his own finger pointing at President Bush was initiated by him.
