Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz appeared on "ABC This Week" to discuss the Mueller investigation and the report that's about to be released about Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election. While Dershowitz believes the report will be politically devastating, he doesn't anticipate criminal charges being brought against President Trump.
"I think the report is going to be devastating to the President and I know that the President's team is already working on a response to the report," Dershowitz told George Stephanopoulos.
"At some point when the report's made public -- and that's a very hard question considering the new attorney general who has the authority to decide when and under what circumstance to make it public -- it will be made public probably with a response alongside," he added, referencing Matthew Whitaker, the new acting attorney general who replaced Jeff Sessions after the midterm election earlier this month.
“The critical questions are largely political — when I say devastating, I mean it’s going to paint a picture that’s going to be politically very devastating," he explained. "I still don't think it's going to make a criminal case, because collusion is not criminal."

Michael Flynn, George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, all former Trump associates, pleaded guilty in the Muller investigation but none have said they colluded with Russia. There have also been indictments brought about against 20 Russian nationals, The Hill reported.
