At a New York campaign rally for Hillary Clinton Monday, Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards pretty much said that pro-life women aren’t really women, nor do they support women’s rights. It wasn’t that specific, as she said, “A woman voting for Ted Cruz is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.” So, as a woman, you must vote for a pro-abortion candidate? And if you don’t, you’re stupid, misinformed, or worse, not really supportive of American women. It’s typical liberal bullying. Conform to my principles because if you don’t–your whole existence doesn’t make sense. I can’t convince you, so you must be just wrong.
The last time I checked, this was America, where I could be conservative, pro-life, and pro-gun regardless of my age, race, gender, or sexual orientation.
You can be black and gay. You can be a woman and pro-life. You can be gay and a Republican. You can be feminist and support gun rights (self-defense). You can be a liberal and disagree with hate crimes legislation. Belonging to once race, gender, or whatever does not shut off certain points of view. Many Americans agree, as we see more and more of them register as Independent–not wanting to be associated with labels, or endless phone calls from national party committees asking for money.

For liberals, this is problematic because it takes effort. It’s easy to say that because you’re Asian, you must be a Democrat. With Richards, the implication is wholly anti-free speech and, in some ways, anti-American. Not all women agree with the Richards position that to be a real woman, you must vote pro-abortion. That’s a lazy way to vote.
Lastly, it’s probably not the best optics for Richards to invoke chicken slaughterhouses, given that her organization has been accused of participating in illegal trafficking of aborted baby parts. In fact, the nation’s largest abortion provider should avert any references relating to slaughter, even though they don’t view killing babies as tantamount to killing a human being. Well, that is until you ask them when life begins, then pro-aborts either talk themselves into a knot or flee. Nevertheless, this is a free country - Richards can say that pro-life women aren’t women if they don’t support Clinton or Planned Parenthood, and rattle off the KFC references, but it shows they have an appalling lack of self-awareness. Moreover, it's cookie-cutter politics at its worst.

KFC treats chickens better than Planned Parenthood treats babies.
