One Country's Military Is Taking Trans ‘Inclusion’ to a New Level

The transgender agenda has permeated its way into the culture through schools, sports, entertainment, and many other avenues. Men who think they’re women are given accolades and rob women of awards and opportunities. Certain states encourage teachers to keep a child’s so-called “gender identity” a secret from parents and want to normalize so-called “gender-affirming care,” like sex reassignment surgeries.

Now, men in one country who join the military and claim to “identify” as women will be entitled to share facilities with biological women.

Male military personnel in the United Kingdom who identify as “transgender” women can live in female accommodations, according to an official government document obtained by The Telegraph:

The document, written as part of the JSP 889, the official guidance regarding the recruitment and management of transgender personnel in the Armed Forces, states that the “determining issue” for allocating Single Living Accommodation (SLA), where a single, or unaccompanied person lives, is the “affirmed gender” of the transgender person.

It states that “as soon as the transition process begins the person should be provided with accommodation that is appropriate to their affirmed gender”.

“From the date of transition, the person should also have use of the toilet and changing room facilities appropriate to their affirmed gender. Under no circumstances should a transgender person be expected, after transitioning, to use the facilities of their assigned gender,” it reads.

This kind of inclusion policy could allow men who are predators to live in close proximity to females, the outlet noted. Sarah Atherton, a Member of Parliament who oversaw a report about sexual assault and harassment in the military, said that the government has not “thought this through properly.”

“Having done extensive work around women in the Armed Forces, I am fully aware of the extent of sexual abuse that has gone on and continues to go on. Women need to have secure accommodation where they feel safe,” she told the outlet.

A female service member who spoke to The Telegraph on the condition of anonymity said that she returned from an overseas assignment where she shared facilities with both men and women.

“Military bases at home are compromised if female spaces are not managed appropriately,” she said.

Another female service member said that she raised concerns about sharing accommodations with males who identify as “transgender.” Her superior reportedly told her: “it’s not an issue as you can tell who are predators.”

As for the women just starting out in the military, one female service member said: “Trainees are considered our most vulnerable as they are the youngest, most inexperienced,” adding that. “It’s fair to say that people who are in the early stages of their career are potentially being put at risk by not having female-only spaces protected.”
