EAGLE PASS, Texas — Thursday was another busy day for the border town of Eagle Pass as they have become one of the go-to destinations for illegal immigrants to cross into as the crisis is nearing it's third year.

From before the sun rose to the midafternoon, thousands of people used the Rio Grande instead of the ports of entry to enter the United States. My full writeup is available to read here.

Among the many things I witnessed on Thursday include a baby, barely a few months old, being carried above a man's head as he led a large group in a particularly wide and dangerous parts of the Rio Grande. Some of the group turned back to Mexico, having been worn out by the strong currents.

Due to Border Patrol having to quickly release people in order to make space for new arrivals, some people have been released with no way to get to their intended destination. One group spent the night in a parking lot of a sporting goods store and gas station.
