The Fates Hate Obama and You Pay the Price

Even the weather refuses to cooperate with Obama.

So who can blame the GOP for spurning him?

That’s how much he’s been abandoned by the fates.

And we pay the price for his gamble on his destiny, his legacy, his lie.

It’s ironic that at a time when Wall Street has been adjusting expectations for the economy because of moderately cold weather—like THAT’s never happened before-- Obama is banging the drum for more draconian cuts to our great American-supplied fossil fuels.

He cites global warming as the culprit.

“President Obama is putting global warming in the spotlight this week, using his power to highlight a federal report warning that climate change is already hitting home and hitting hard,” wrote the National Journal in the beginning of May. “The move draws cheers from the left, jeers from the right, and restarts a public debate over the validity of climate science—despite the fact that the connection between greenhouse gases and global warming is settled science for the vast majority of climatologists and peer-reviewed climate studies.”

Well, not really.

A catalog of studies in a report published by Science & Education, shows that a little more than one quarter of 1% of all studies conclude that global warming is man-made, says the Daily Caller.

“In fact, [the report] provides the clearest available statistical evidence that there is scarcely any explicit support among scientists for the consensus that the IPCC, politicians, bureaucrats, academics and the media have so long and so falsely proclaimed,” says statistician Dr. William Briggs in a press release accompanying the report. “That was not the outcome [they] had hoped for, and it was not the outcome he had stated in his paper, but it was the outcome he had really found.”

The irony goes further, as the cry “infrastructure, infrastructure” rings from liberal voices, on cue from the president, as an alternative to common sense fiscal policies which would put real Americans to work.

Let’s start with Keystone, which by the way, will, someday I’m sure, cost taxpayers nothing, which is a dirty concept to Democrats.

As opposed to now, when it’s delay is costing taxpayers plenty.

We gave the president a trillion dollars for shovel ready jobs six years ago—money that was supposed to go to infrastructure-- and we go nothing in return.

No jobs, no stimulus, no trickle down from Washington.

How do you blow a trillion dollars and create no jobs?

I mean besides investing in the federal government.

It’s just one in a long of questions without answers for the American people on jobs, the economy, energy, climate, income, retirement and the great entrepreneurial system WE did build over 300 years.

And the liberal answer, of course, continues to be more money, and more money and more money.

And this puts me in the mind of a letter Abraham Lincoln wrote but did not send to his Democrat friends in Kentucky on the brink of the Civil War: “I believe you are acquainted with the American Classics, (if there be such) and probably remember a speech of Patrick Henry, in which he represented a certain character in the revolutionary times, as totally disregarding all questions of country, and ‘hoarsely bawling, beef! Beef!! Beef!!!’”

The liberals may cry “Beef, beef!” but there is no beef, to paraphrase Henry here too.

Our betters in Washington have eaten the beef.

And all they have to offer us now is the thin, gray gruel of welfare and dependency as the fates abandon liberals as well.

But make no mistake: It will be you who pays the price.

While they eat the beef.
