Democrat Senator: Republicans "Don't Deserve" Constitutional Freedoms

Alternative headline: Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) Favors Constitutional Rights For Terrorists, Not Republicans.

… The Republicans in Congress claim they’re concerned about the budget balance, but it’s a disguise! It’s not true! It’s a lie! That’s not what they want. They want — they want other people not to be able to have their own opinions. They don’t deserve the freedoms that are in the Constitution! But we’ll give it to them anyway.

Gee, thanks for that generous afterthought, Senator.  Lautenberg's best defense might be that he was "caught up in the moment," and got carried away.  After all, what's more energizing than addressing a small gathering of pink-clad fans of abortion on demand?

UPDATE:  Argh.  Red State beat me to the punch on my alternative headline.
