Like this former JAG officer, I was thinking the same thing. He should have whined that CNN was not "fair and balanced" due to the people who agreed with him. When acts of terror and evil done in the name of Islam are described as "stress" and the result of teasing, something is wrong.

we are so desperate for warm bodies to fight the "worldwide war on terror" that they didn't do anything to get rid of this guy. Their standards are quite low these days, and even with low standards, they are having trouble attracting soldiers, etc.

We need to reinstitute the draft, though that will assure that 95% of the draftees will claim to be gay or lesbian.

Me- No, I don't blame the victim. The victims were 13 soldiers who were caught in the crossfire, not the institution of the Army that probably knew this guy was a problem but kept him on duty, anyway.

Do you honestly expect anybody to enter into any form of serious debate with someone who would ask such an ignorant question?

I don't claim to have an instant solution to the problem of muslims in the military going postal. The difference between your position of total ignorance and those on the other side of the politica fence is that we actually acknowledge that a) there is a problem and b) it is traceable back to the muslim faith in multiple instances.

The other thing you attempt to gloss over is the increasing number of "solo acts". The recruiters, Jewish centers in Washington(?), shopping malls in Minnesota, the guy who drove his Jeep...

It is clear that many of you are angry and fearful. That is understandable. What is less clear is what you think should be done about it? Internment camps? Deport all muslims, even those who have been here for generations (as Hasan's family apparently was, he was born here 40 years ago)? What is your plan? How do you propose to stop what you think is systemic hatred by muslims against all others? Do they hate Christians only, or Jews too? Do they hate all but muslims?

That's why this is psychobabble...
