Voters Still Polling Conservative on Most Issues

Rasmussen is out with a new poll showing that voters still trend conservative on most issues, although the gap on social issues is significanty smaller than on fiscal ones.

The poll showed that 43 percent of likely U.S. voters view themselves as conservative on issues "such as taxes, government spending and business regulation." And, though 40 percent view themselves as fiscally moderate, only 13 percent view themselves as liberal.

On social issues such as "abortion, public prayer and church-state topics," 34 percent of respondents were conservative, 32 percent moderate, and 30 percent liberal.
