Brewer Wants SB 1070 to Go to Supreme Court

Fox News is reporting Gov. Jan Brewer wants to take the SB 1070 challenge to the Supreme Court, one of three options CNN detailed the governor could follow on the law, after a three judge panel on the 9th Circuit sided against Brewer in her appeal:

Brewer's legal team could ask the full 9th Circuit to revisit the issue, take the case directly to the U.S. Supreme Court, or choose to do nothing at all, said Matthew Benson, Brewer's spokesman.

Looks like Brewer has decided to go the most direct route.

Arizona state Sen. Russell Pearce, who authored SB 1070, released a statement today saying he's "confident" the state will prevail in the appeal.
