NBC anchor Megyn Kelly appears to be out at NBC. Her "blackface" comments earlier this week appear to have been enough for network producers to break her $69 million contract, according to a new report from the Daily Mail.
During a discussion on cultural appropriation and Halloween costumes on Tuesday, Kelly said it was "okay" to wear blackface when she was a kid. Even her own coanchors condemned her "ignorant" and "racist" dialogue. Kelly apologized the following day with a tearful statement about how she never meant to add to the cultural divisions in America.
"I want to begin with two words, I'm sorry..The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense. I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor..Thank you for listening and for helping me listen too." Megyn Kelly pic.twitter.com/6hHrvZLNvK

She was absent Thursday morning, as NBC decided to air a rerun of her program, a telling sign for her future at the network.
