As President Obama continues his monomania with health care "reform," news has just been released that unemployment claims rose unexpectedly last week.

At this point, of course, people are not worried about comprehensive health care "reform" legislation. They need jobs. Does the President not get it -- or does he just not care?

When government health care get rammed through, the economy will then be a total shambles.

Then it won't matter if Republicans win, the damage will be done.

A guy who does not care about whether his own fellow democrats get re-elected, sure ain't going to care if he brings the country down with him, As Long As He Gets His Way!

Who knows? Maybe he'll find a way to even rule in the wake of the ensuing chaos?

Why did they run to be elected if they cannot implement policies to correct past policies?

They have controlled congress since January 2007.

That is for more than three years. At some point, they should admit that they are totally incompetent.

Thinks have become steadily worse over the last three years.

"Boohoo, Boohoo, Boohoo, it is not our fault" the f'ing baby dems, libs, progressives, leftists want americans to believe.

Why do not they just tell us the truth? They do not know what to do to make things better.

my wife and I were broke about five years ago. We worked extra jobs and got better jobs and got promoted. We cut back expenses. We planned ahead. We paid off debt. Now we are in fairly good shape. Most people can do this if they want. I've noticed a lot of blue collar type folks and middle class people as well who eat out 4 times a day, buy cars and houses they can't afford, have cable, internet, smart phones, DVD collections, etc etc. Hmmm, I wonder why they are in debt and whining about they can't pay the insurance?

btw- the healthcare system is not broken. Surely my wife and I can't be the only ones who pay very little out of our pocket for dentists, pediatricians, physicals etc?

Maybe we should be honest first and...

He had the figures from both the White House and the CBO. The figures were far apart. The man's figures fell (generally) between the two.

The number of jobs created (actually saved in most instances) was less than the resulting figures posted by both WH and CBO.

WH figures showed each job cost $391,xxx per job and the CBO figures showed each job cost in excess of $401,000. Most of the "created" jobs will last only for months.

Since the tax cuts, tax policies, coupled with unfunded expensive elective wars, and unfunded entitlement expansions, effected by the last administration, shifted ever more wealth to the wealthiest, and the "free money" fiscal policies,
encourage the naive consumers to run up mountains of debt....

Obama can't control the unemployment, not with all GOP but Scott Brown voting AGAINST a jobs bill. And your side is saying stuff like constituents are "allegedly" claiming mistreatment from insurance industry - hey, way to back the American people the GOP continue to flaunt for their own gain!

It's a favored tactic of people online, one that I've been guilty of myself, where I read too much into someone's comments and argue against my interpretation rather than the actual argument put forth.

I try to be much more careful these days about logical fallacies, so I tend to cite them more when I see them.
