Democrats from Speaker Pelosi to President Biden and all of the professional spinners in between are desperate to convince the American people that Republicans are the ones who are defunding the police in America's major cities, causing a dangerous spike in violent crime.

Obviously, this is a complete lie and total manipulation of information, but did I mention that this is coming from Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and their so-called communications team? Their job is to manipulate information and spin so that up appears to be down, and in this case, red appears to be blue... Or is it red in reality? Let's face it; these commies are the RED ones, not Republicans.

The so-called "proof" that Republicans have defunded the police boils down to the Democrats' spending spree disguised as "Covid relief" in the early days of the Biden administration. Apparently, some states that were handed giant checks consisting of federal funds borrowed from taxpayers in future generations used their ill-gotten games to shore up their police department budgets.

First of all, "defunding" doesn't mean vote "no" on federal funding to augment budgets that had been whittled away during a pandemic. Defunding means reducing the budgets of police departments so that money can be diverted to social programs the Democrats believe will stop a rapist from raping and a murderer from murdering.

Of course, Republicans' "no" vote had nothing to do with cops and police budgets. They didn't support the obscene Covid relief package because it came through at a time when millions of Americans were getting vaccinated thanks to President Trump's miraculous Operation Warp Speed program and our nation was getting back on its feet.

Many other Republicans didn't vote for the package because back in their home states, things had already sort of returned to normal because they had governors that respected constitutional rights and saw the reality of the science rather than the hype that had helped Democrats get elected and to push their radical agenda like the aforementioned so-called Covid relief package.

The other Republicans who did not vote for the package did so because there were still billions and billions and billions and billions and billions of dollars left over from the last Covid relief package that had still been left unspent.

In other words, there were plenty of reasons not to vote for this obscene and disastrous tax borrow and piss away package from Biden and Pelosi.

But these days, Democrats and the media would have you think the Republicans stood shoulder to shoulder voting "no" on this disaster because they hated cops.

But let's drill down a little bit on this lie and see the truth that is hiding beneath it.

Democrats wouldn't be going out of their way to accuse Republicans of defunding police if they thought the idea of defunding police was a political winner.

Why accuse your political opponent of doing something you think is a great idea?

And last I checked, the actual calls to defund the police come from the ever-growing, radical socialist wing of Biden and Pelosi's party. Furthermore, the actual votes to defund police that don't happen at the federal level but happen at the state and local level have all occurred due to the overwhelming leadership of Democrats in cities like Minneapolis and Los Angeles. Cops' budgets are being defunded on standalone votes led by an overwhelming majority of Democrats.

And Democrats are doing this in their cities and states because they think it's a great idea. So when Democrats representing the White House and Speaker Pelosi's office make this accusation against Republicans, aren't they revealing that the idea of defunding the police is an enormous liability for them and a political loser?

Of course, we all know the Republicans are not responsible for defunding the police. But the mere fact that Democrats want to accuse Republicans of doing this is proof positive that they know it's a terrible idea, and it's hurting them in the polls.

Wouldn't it be great for an enterprising reporter to ask one of these politicians or their spokespeople a very simple question: "You've accused Republicans of defunding the police. I'm curious… regardless of who is responsible for defunding the police, can you just tell me if President Biden or Speaker Pelosi believes defunding the police is a good or bad idea?"
