Gilded Reframe – WASHINGTON POST

We are all familiar with the lectures from the press on how dangerous political commentary can be and the promises of how this can lead to violence any day now. There is a pattern to these lectures, which is that it is always the right and conservative speech that will deliver violence. Funny enough, this never seems to be an issue for the left, even when there is hard evidence.

At WaPo, we get a lengthy, treacly personality piece on a disturbed man who called in violent threats toward Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). He was collected by the FBI, tried, and spent three months at the Grey Bar Inn for his acts. Upon release from prison, he settled back into his life and was profiled. Interestingly, despite being shown as a hyper-leftist and watching left-wing news sources on the regular, those media influences are never blamed for inspiring his unhinged outburst.

Anti-Social Media – ESPN

  • Say, what about violent threats FROM the media...?

This weekend there was a news report of a shooting in a Florida nightclub involving a number of people, and one of those wounded was NFL player Tank Dell. For reasons that make little sense, ESPN reporter Mike Brindisi posted a comment where he actually was implying he wished death upon the player.

Amid a quick outcry over his post, he seemed to take the advice of many and deleted his account immediately.

DNC PR Firm – MSNBC

  • These are Democrats, Katie! Facts have no place in the conversation!

In an appearance clearly signaling desperation by the Dems, Nancy Pelosi sat in with Katy Tur to pimp for Joe Biden. In an effort to boost his foundering approval numbers, Aunt Nancy boasted about his jobs created, and how Trump had the worst job record. Ms. Tur meekly added that this was a slanted approach because the pandemic killed jobs at a widespread rate, and Biden's job "creation" is actually a return of those lost positions.

Pelosi snapped at the appearance of these facts and went on to suggest that Tur was a Trump apologist.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – MSNBC

  • Is the laptop being fake something that is in play again?!

In a breathless breaking report, on "MSNBC Reports," they went into detail about Hunter Biden threatening to bring a lawsuit against Fox News for broadcasting the contents of the computer he abandoned years ago. He says the portrayal of him accurately is somehow libelous, using material his lawyer describes as having been arrived at from a computer hack.

For us, we find it difficult to rationalize how Fox hurt Hunter's image considering he was in fact a drunk, a drug addict, a cocaine manufacturer, and was at times living with crack whores – all things we read about in Hunter's autobiographical memoir.

But what jumped out at us was Ryan Nobles, after going on at length about the contents of the Hunter Biden lawsuit, went on to describe the source of the contents as "the so-called laptop."

Nope, sorry, Ryan…we are not going through all of this again!

Reporting on the Mirror – LOS ANGELES TIMES

  • If only there was some way to stop….yourselves.

In a report that is surprisingly honest and at the same time oblivious, the LA Times details how there is some deeply focused, and possibly excessive, coverage of the college protests sweeping the country. The Times notes that the focus on the uprisings at the universities is coming at a price: It seems that concentration on the pro-Palestinian protests is detracting from coverage of the suffering the Palestinians are enduring.

So we have a news outlet noticing that news outlets have imbalanced news coverage – if only there was something the news outlets could do, says this news outlet.
