“You go to a party, you get grabbed, you get propositioned by a gay man, and then you start to question yourself.”

And this is what we, the Straight 88, are thinking right now—Duke isn’t really responding to this. Not really. And this, what has happened, is a disaster. This is a social disaster. The students know that the disaster didn’t begin on June 25th when Frank Lombard was arrested. And it won’t end with what the police say or the court decides. Like all disasters, this one has a history. And what lies beneath what we’re hearing from our students are questions about the future.

We’re turning up the volume in a moment when some of the most vulnerable among us are being asked to quiet down while we wait. To the students speaking individually and to the protestors making collective noise, thank you for not waiting and for making yourselves heard.

Your invective about myself and other TH posters is everywhere on the net. I trolled for nothing. The missives were forwarded to me, and guess what? Du uses his/her real name everywhere else but here.

Gee, I wonder why.

For you, insane rage against anyone that does not follow the same belief system as you do is what you post here and elsewhere.

When you are challenged you resort to whining, sniveling, pathological lies, nonsense, verbal flatulence, victimization, and your usual intellectual bankruptcy.

Next time you decide to demean and belittle people all over the internet remember,it can come back to those who you scorn.

And quit saying I trolled the internet for you. Thta is another one of your pathological lies.

Of course I'm not important. That's why it's been perplexing that anderson would bother to reveal my real name here (when he won't do that to anyone else.), why he went trolling all over the net (as did David S.), trying to look up whatever of my posts to cut and paste and all this over lil ol unimportant me. Which, I assure you, could be ignored and not answered in any way.

Much easier to go along and work yourself up and be hostile (even though NEW to the thread as far as I can tell) and take offense to none given, then be mature about any of this.

Your behavior is WAY out of proportion, to the situation at hand. As is true of the majority here. And you're not at all directly affected by the socio/political issue as those of us who dissent here.

You're right, I'm NOT important. But I never claimed to be. But since I'm the one being put on the defensive here, it's the only conclusion I can come to since there are very few who can dissent without your response being one of rancor.
You choose to behave that way from the outset towards me, even though you're new to me.
So, I'd LOVE to be unimportant, but I'm not in control of these articles, the tone of this thread, nor YOUR feelings.
