Chuck Norris
Dirty Secret No. 1 in Obamacare

Health care reforms are turning into health care revolts. Americans are turning up the heat on congressmen in town hall meetings across the U.S.

While watching these political hot August nights, I decided to research the reasons so many are opposed to Obamacare to separate the facts from the fantasy. What I discovered is that there are indeed dirty little secrets buried deep within the 1,000-plus page health care bill.

Culture of Corruption by Michelle Malkin FREE

Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government's coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.

It's outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading "home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children." The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.

The bill says that the government agents, "well-trained and competent staff," would "provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development."

Are you kidding me?! With whose parental principles and values? Their own? Certain experts'? From what field and theory of childhood development? As if there are one-size-fits-all parenting techniques! Do we really believe they would contextualize and personalize every form of parenting in their education, or would they merely universally indoctrinate with their own?

Are we to assume the state's mediators would understand every parent's social or religious core values on parenting? Or would they teach some secular-progressive and religiously neutered version of parental values and wisdom? And if they were to consult and coach those who expect babies, would they ever decide circumstances to be not beneficial for the children and encourage abortions?

One government rebuttal is that this program would be "voluntary.

Dear Mr. Norris,

I have read a number of articles by you, especially the ones concerning reading the bill.

Honor In Office is working on getting a bill passed in every state in the nation that requires our legislators to read the bill, post it on the internet, and so on.

Almost every member of Congress was first a lawmaker in their state. It is at the state and local level where they lose their way. If we can change the work ethic at the state level, we change it at the federal level.

It has been said that to prevent membership increases in gangs, the best way is to get reach the kids before they join the gang. Once joined, it becomes their culture and way of life.

The same can be said of our politicians. If we want to change the political culture and climate, we have to do it when they first come into office.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Best to you,

The major problem with our current practice of tying health care coverage to the job is that it took the patient out of the loop and transfered control of health care to those primarily motivated by profit.

The major problem with Obamacare is that it will keep the patient out of the loop and transfer control to those primarily motivated by power.

Freemen beware. There are only two kinds of Democrats - those who would be masters and those who would be slaves.

Sorry for my late reply, but I don't quite see that you understood my point in my posting the lyrics from West Side Story song. Gee Officer Krupke, by your replying, saying:

" Nice. Let me add one from the same musical.

"We'll find a new way of living."

Yes, we can."

In case you didn't get my point, I was quite surprised that, despite his several good points and counter suggestion of using HEADSTART instead of Obamacare for kids, Norris didn't seem to be aware of the fact the low income parents are in fact poorer parents, because they are more often single parents, and have fewer such resources as "books", "priests", "friends" and "family" to rely upon. I intended to point this out by posting the song lyrics as I did, so remind readers that, yes, kids in poor neighborhoods do in fact tend to have a much greater need for extra outside peer guidance, beyond what they are already getting,
than richer kids.

I could have also cited the lectures given by certain politicians about "family values" we all heard after the Rodney King riots. And I could have quoted Presley's song "In the Ghetto". Etc.

Now, it may not be the best idea, and I'm sure Norris is right that the goverment would seek to shape the thinking of the youth it serves this way,
but if some single mom can call over a commie commisar with a clipboard to teach her kid some manners, it's better than no manners at all.

So Norris shouldn't have gotten so ballistic. It may also have been more constructive and interesting if Norris had discussed further the pros and cons of Obamacare versus his HEADSTART program.

to rush their undesirable, flawed health care plan through before Americans knew what hit em!
Obama the non'transparency President knew he had to 'sneak' it into policy, before we found out the neglect etc., and could protest. Thanks for nothing King Obama! So much for honesty and a different kind of politician. We didn't bargain for your anti-America, extreme change and false hope! What were the smitten Celebrity 'O' lovers thinking? Such an ill prepared President is wrecking havoc on us!

Use the Medical MSA model of health insurance become an option for Medicaid and for MediCare and watch the costs of those program go into meldown. For those who cannot afford insurance, a voucher system on the deductible can be devised with established financial thresholds. For instance, those at 125%, say, of poverty line, can recieve the entire Major Medical policy free of charge (still a lot cheaper than ObamaCare's Spartan program), and enjoy an income-adjusted voucher for the deductible portion. In this way, the poor receive the same insurance coverage as everyone else, and are incentivized to abstain substances that are bad for them--by not drawing anything out of their savings account, they don't have to put any more into it. Then, they have a stake in making better health and lifestyle choices. This particular group, as evidenced by myriad studies, are the largest consumers of the non-elderly groups of healthcare consumers. From the Golden Rule study and years of observations, we will see this group get better care and require less of it as they become healthier in the process.

Mr. Chuck Norris, I appreciate your time your spending on this topic OBAMACARE is a illegal Double Taxation (look at those fine print AT&T Statement Billings each Month and read THEY ARE ALLOWED BY GOVERNMENT TO SURCHARGE A CUSTOMER AT WHATEVER AMOUNT NECESSARY DUE TO INCREASES IN COST OF THEIR BUSINESS),

is OBAMACARE costing them yet,

Will Obamacare cost them?

ANSWERS - YES if their employees are Required to purchase Government Insurance and pay via Surcharges, that is a additional expense to operate their business and Then they choose to pass that along to their customer's and customer's are already paying a Surcharge Tax to Purchase the Required Employment Insurance where they work ARE THEN paying a DOUBLETAX and that makes OBAMACARE ILLEGAL.

BTW, Chuck, I like your tag line.

As a scientist and scholar, I can understand the desire to help at-risk children through education. However, not against their wishes, and the best help comes from generous people not gov't drones who are usually low-paid and usually unable to succeed in the market they were trained. Moreover, the more power you give this people the worse they can become - and there may be nothing you can do about it.

Think about incompetence and malfeasance, and how tort is available to obtain relief if victimized and to impose deterrence to others. You think you can get this with the gov't? Think again.

Nearly every state has already on the books, immunity laws and tort limitations that protect it and its workers. If you are victimized by the system, you will have to prove an individual gov't worker had a specific and unique personal grudge against you before you have any recourse. If you were victimized from their status quo modus operandi, you're out of luck getting an attorney to represent you let alone any docket to take a lawsuit.

You could go after the system itself but you'd better have millions to throw away - because even if you have it doesn't mean you'll succeed.

Chuck is in desperate need of re-education.

I think President Obama should add him to the list of people who need to be rounded up and waterboarded into agreeing with him.

How dare you question the ultimate beneficence of The Government, Chuck?

Do you mean to suggest that Socialists have ULTERIOR MOTIVES and might place DISCRETE LANGUAGE in laws that place them in a position to advance a Nanny State further later on down the road?

Please point me to the nearest fainting couch. I think I have the vapors.

(Don't mean to sound snarky towards you, or your article Chuck... It just irks me that it needs to be SAID that Socialists have ulterior motives and hidden agendas. It is SO OBVIOUS and yet frustrating that so many are willfully blind to it.)

Simple enough question but no answer yet from the Obamascare people. Why are 8.5 MILLION govt workers and pols excluded from participating in this great health reform plan? It cost 15 BILLION last year in our tax money to pay 75% of their premiums. They have great choices and coverage for peanuts per month because taxes ( that's you and me people) pay most of it. Also included are retirees, survivors and their families. Imagine how this will grow each year. This sounds familiar, sort of like the social security system that's running out of money. Mr. Obama knows well what would happen if he told all these 8.5 MILLION govt workers they would have to use the same Obamacare everyone else did. Can you spell revolution? Mr. Obama is a liar. Remember transparency, lobbyists, partisanship and more? They were all campaign promises, now they are LIES. So Mr. Obama, you say you want honesty? Well you got to give it to get it. Answer the question Mr. Obama. It is not going away just because you keep closing your eyes when you see it.

It's obvious to me, that the healthcare debate is no more than a testing ground for Obama to wage his real battle, which is to promote the most anti-God, socially immoral and outright, anti-family agenda, since the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and Babylon. The healthcare issue becomes his pivot issue, whereby he hopes to marginalize the opposition, by deeming them to be insensitive, intolerant, bigoted and religious.

This is just another example of a government that is out of control and being run by representatives that don't give a crap about the values and ideals of the very people that put them in office. This is also just another reason to support term limitations of the free-loaders in Washington. It's just amazing to me how ANYONE can support this invasion of our freedoms, all in the name of "healthcare".

Chuck, this is a very creative interpretation of the bill.
You have a future as a fantasy writer.
Of course, being a Republican automatically qualifies you as a fantasy writer.
Be careful when using a dictionary though.
When a dictionary spells a word, that is in fact, how to spell the word.
Not your interpretation of the spelling of the word.

We have in our hands right now to change the course of American history once and for all. Do we sit on our donkeys and let what we don't want to happen happen because we're too afraid of a little discomfort for the moment and let even great pain and ruin come into our lives furthur down the road? America's only promise to the world was at one time you had the freedom to choose and opertunity. With freedom and opertunity comes responsiblity!

If you want only one of those three things, well then farc off and get out of my country you lazy whinging excuse for a human being. Because just like in the Judeo-Christain religion This system is triune. You can't have one without the other two.

It doesnt matter who or what you are, you have the freedom and opertunity to be whoever you want to be but, it is YOUR responsiblity to make that happen. Read your history books! But also remember you have the right to over throw the government if it is not being run the way you want it to be.

Diplomacy and violence (whether verbal or actual) can only do so much. We need unity in this country. Become united or let's change the name of our country to I.S.A Independent States of America.

So in closing I would like to reiterate the need for less government control in health care, buisness, parenting and education. Also the importance of unity for otherwise we may fall faster than Rome. You have the right, freedom and responsibility make this never become a law!

Otherwise shut up!

All you liberals who criticize Chuck Norris and think Obamacare is great better wake up. If Obama's dream of socialized medicine comes true, don't complain about the nightmare that is bound to result. Obama wants a command and control economy, and he and his ultraliberal henchmen/women are doing all they can to see that the government gets as much power over us as possible. The Founding Fathers knew perfectly well the danger involved in giving government bureaucrats too much power, and if they could see what is going on here today, I think they would be horrified and so disappointed. I simply can not understand why so many people seem so willing to give up their freedoms and welcome the tyranny so obviously threatening us if Obama and his gang get their way, not just in health care, but all aspects of our lives. Obama is a narcissist, and as Chuck says, a socialist, who thinks only he knows what is best for our country. I still am amazed at how many gullible people voted for him.

I was at a town hall on Saturday morning.

This woman sitting next to my wife held up a sign that said "H.R. 676" on it. The guy next to her that had been screaming in her face for the last 5 minutes tried to get it away from her. He knocked her on the floor. She started crying. Sissy liberals.

Man, it was SOMETHING!

You should have seen the cops taking him out! Rotten cops, probably work for the socialists, too.

Stand down on this latest tempest in a teapot. My daughter had a baby while living in Australia and they followed this practice of a home visit. It was awesome. It is mainly to help new mothers if they have followup questions about breast feeding and other child care issues, to built networks with new mothers in a community and to help all new parents keep connected to resources that can help them. Studies show child abuse rises in homes across the economic spectrum when parents feel isolated from their communities. This program should be supported by us! It just is common sense to know new parents and their children would be helped by this.

Having been raised in rural Louisiana & thinking most of my relatives are unfit parents of 3 or more children, most of them with at least 2 already in the juvenile court system I disagree.

These women needed birth control but now that these kids are here, YES someone needs to step in to give these kids a fighting chance. It's my home they will be robbing & your child's school they are out vandalizing. My cousins were having babies at 16, they had zero guidance. One had 4 kids by the time she was 21. She's been in & out of psych wards for 20 years now.
WHy shouldn't government have some hand in helping before it becomes our problem on the legal end? It all ends up in government anyway when they go to jail & we taxpayers support them.
I am 35 with a higher education & ran like hell from that lifestyle but I am shocked when I see these kids breeding like cockroaches. It almost broke my biological clock!
