Obama: Right Wing to Blame for Wife's Negs

Do you feel the leaked information from a global warming alarmist organization is meaningful?

In October’s installation of Glamour Magazine, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama blames conservative-leaning media outlets for driving up his wife’s negative ratings.

“What happened was that the conservative press — Fox News and the National Review and columnists of every ilk — went fairly deliberately at her in a pretty systematic way,” Obama told Glamour’s editor-in-chief Cindi Leive. The women’s magazine published excerpts of the Obama interview on their political blog Glamocracy on Thursday morning. [Full disclosure, I blog there every Tuesday]

“It took a toll,” Obama said. “If you start being subjected to rants by Sean Hannity and the like, day in day out, that'll drive up your negatives.”

A joint poll conducted by the Associated Press and Yahoo released July 2 found 35 percent of voters had an unfavorable impression of Mrs. Obama. 30 percent viewed her favorably.

Michelle Obama made headlines earlier this year for saying her husband’s candidacy made her proud of her country for “the first time in my life” and encouraging women to “move out of the money-making industry into the helping industry” in Zanesville, Ohio — one of the poorest areas of the nation. Her thesis on race relations, which she wrote as a student at Princeton University, is also considered controversial by some outlets.

News outlets across the political spectrum have covered these stories.

Leive asked Obama if he believed his GOP presidential rival John McCain “had a hand in the attacks on Michelle.” Obama said, “I wouldn’t say the McCain campaign itself” and then posited the “vast-right wing conspiracy” theory coined by his former Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. “I would say that the apparatus of conservative columnists, blogs and the like. Talk shows, talk radio? When you see in the span of two or three or four weeks essentially the same talking points being used on a whole variety of shows or a whole variety of columns, over and over again....Hillary Clinton was subject to this, others have been subject to this in the past.”

Obama also singled out blogs and email because “the internet allows rumors, myths, attacks to get out there very quickly to a lot of people.”

Anyway, while I humbly submit that i couldn't have conjured up the brilliance displayed in this essay, I just thought I'd offer some suggestions.

PS: As to that metaphor at the end about how conservatives will find a reason as to why the bottom of the ocean isn't so bad...you know..it didn't have to be a metaphor at all due to global warming. I only pray Obama wins because then the oceans will recede with just a wave of his hand. Of course riceroni...I dont' have to tell you:). Praise be Obama!

Simply brilliant

Finally, while you and I both know that more dWow riceroni! I bet you managed to convert a whole bunch of conservatives to your way of thinking. After all there was so much originality. Bush=idiot, Cheney=Satan...where do you come up with that stuff!?! Also, using Pelosi as a basis for much of your discussion was a great idea. I can't think of a person who more quintessentially represents clear and cogent thinking than Madame Speaker.

Of course, next time you should explain how Moron and Satan have managed to keep that 100 miles to the gallon car off the market for...what was it you said...oh yeah for decades. The person or company that came up with that car would make a fortune so how did Moron/Satan, who have only been in office for 7+ years, keep it off the market? Of course, you and I both know that these same people organized the 9/11 inside job so the suppression of the magic car wouldn't really be all that difficult.

Also, while you and I know drilling wouldn't have any effect for years, you still need to explain to these buffoons (I borrowed your word:)) how the symbolic gesture of Moron lifting the White House ban seems to be already having an effect on gas prices. Again, we know it's just a co-wincky-dink, but these fools here might actually argue that even this small step has had a noticeable effect. On top of that they might go further arguing that if Congress were to actually enact a plan for offshore drilling it may very well send the price of oil back below $100 a barrel. I know only a cretin could believe the speculation of more oil in the future might have an effect on the speculitive oil market (speculation/speculative...funny I never noticed how similar those two words...I digresss), but that's what makes us different from these T.H people.
