House Vote Passes Bill Limiting NSA Surveillance

The U.S. House of Representatives passed an NSA reform bill this morning that includes a provision to stop the government's mass collection of telephone metadata. The House voted 303-121 in favor of the USA Freedom Act after the White House's endorsement of the bill. It is the first solid action of either house of Congress since the NSA scandal broke almost a year ago, though critics like tech companies say that the bill does not go nearly far enough to make reforms.
