For a while now, the Left has been working very hard to normalize abortion. This isn't a new thing. It first really came to my attention in 2024, with an ophthalmologist trying to convince her gullible TikTok followers that an abortion was "any procedure to terminate a pregnancy." This would mean that I, a mother of three, had three "abortions" because my sons were delivered via C-section. Any woman who gave birth, whether via C-section or vaginally, had an abortion. Last April, the late Charlie Kirk schooled a Leftist who insisted that the removal of a uterine cyst or any procedure involving the uterus would also count as an abortion.
The Left would love nothing more than to say that 100 percent of women have had an abortion, even when that's just not true.
Ever so often, some Leftist will come up with a not-so-original idea to equate abortions with things like the use of Viagra or medical treatments like chemotherapy or insulin. Those arguments are as stupid as they are unoriginal, of course. But they're pervasive and they must be stopped whenever and wherever they rear their ugly heads.
If abortion is "playing God," so is chemo, insulin, and C-sections. Funny how only women's medical choices get called sacrilegious.

It's a lie that only "women's medical choices" are attacked. There have been more than a few Democrats who have tried to introduce legislation outlawing Viagra or mandating vasectomies for boys (arguing they could later reverse it) or after a man fathers a certain number of children. The Left seal-claps when this happens, because they really think they're sticking it to the man.
They're not, of course. They're just showing how depraved they are and how unquenchable their bloodlust actually is. Because abortion is the only "medical choice" where at least half of the people are killed. If any other field of medical care had a 50 percent casualty rate, it would be heavily regulated, if not outright banned.
But — and you don't need me to tell you this — chemotherapy, insulin, and even C-sections are lifesaving medical treatments. The Left knows this. What this shows us is that the Left is willing to use actual medical care as a political bargaining chip. If they can't have abortions, then we can't have insulin.
Now you see why I oppose socialized medicine. I have long predicted it will be used by the Left as a means of political and social control of their opponents. But I digress.
That's why they pushed so hard to remove any and all guardrails for the abortion drug mifepristone. A court recently suspended that Biden administration-era rule, but the Supreme Court later restored the rule. The Left does not care about the countless women who were forced or tricked into taking the drug by their husbands/boyfriends/partners or family members, nor do they care that the rate of serious adverse effects of the drug are around 11 percent — much higher than what the FDA claimed. Those risks include infections, hemorrhaging, and even sepsis. Amber Nicole Thurman was used by Kamala Harris as proof that Republican anti-abortion laws are deadly, but the reality was that Thurman got the abortion pill and suffered serious consequences from it because there was no follow up or oversight from the clinic that handed her the abortion drug.
The Left wants abortion on demand, without apology. They can't talk about what abortion is because it's off-putting and deeply offensive to most people, of course. Rep. Brandon Gill masterfully demonstrated that a week or so ago, while grilling an abortion advocate. That's why they equate it to insulin injections, chemotherapy, and even C-sections. They have to hide what it is because the reality is impossible for them to deny: abortion is not healthcare.
It never was, and it never will be.
