Former President Donald Trump has survived two assassination attempts in the past two months.
In July, a shooter attempted to kill Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A bullet fired from the would-be assassin grazed Trump’s ear. The ordeal was captured on video.

Earlier this month, the former president survived a second assassination attempt. This occurred while he was golfing at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The would-be assassin, Ryan Wesley Routh, was arrested after Secret Service spotted him hiding along the golf course, armed and waiting to fire shots at Trump.
Last month, in Arizona, police went on a manhunt for a convicted sex offender named Ronald Lee Syvrud who made threats against the president. Trump was scheduled to make remarks in the region where he was believed to be on the loose.
A poll published this month found that the majority of Americans, 65 percent, expect another assassination attempt on Trump between now and Nov. 5.

The Rasmussen Reports survey found that 32 percent of respondents believe this is “very likely.” A minority of respondents, 21 percent, don’t think another assassination attempt is likely, while 14 percent said that they are not sure.
The survey of 1,114 likely American voters was conducted on Sept. 18-19 and 22. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
