The "believe women" crowd has been busy smearing, embarrassing, and ignoring Tara Reade the past few weeks, but hopefully they'll find time to watch the full interview with Tara Reade that Megyn Kelly just released.
At the end of the interview, Kelly asked Reade how she would respond to those skeptical of Reade's claim that Joe Biden sexually assaulted her since no other woman has come forward with such a serious accusation against the former vice president.
"I say I think I'm a poster child as to why a woman wouldn't come forward, aren't I?" Reade responded. "If you've been watching any of the social media or the news and seeing how I've been attacked basically on everything about me, it's pretty obvious that if you did have a story to come forward with about Joe Biden, it'd. be pretty daunting, wouldn't it?"
Despite the attacks from so-called advocates of women, Reade says the experience has so far been freeing.
"Even all the smears, it's like ok, bring everything out ... talk terrible things about me. Say ... 'my bankruptcy was posted.' And I want people to know, don't be ashamed if you're poor. Don't be ashamed if your life is messy. That's ridiculous. You should be able to talk about your life. We all have problems, and no one is perfect," Reade said.
In the full interview, an emotional Reade painfully described her experiences with Joe Biden, the alleged sexual assault, and offered explanations as to why she waited so many years before talking about her encounter with Biden.
"It took me a long time to come forward because of you know things that were happening in my life," Tara explained. "But from survivors, they always have this feeling like they have to be perfect ... and I'm not perfect, and it's all out there, like everything about me, and in a way, it's just set me free."
Joe Biden has denied the sexual assault took place but refused a simple search of his Senate records, housed at the University of Delaware, for a complaint Reade claims she filed with a Senate personnel office about her interactions with the Senator.
On Thursday, The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, California, published a 1996 court document showing Tara Reade told her then-husband about a sexual harassment event she experienced while working in Joe Biden's Senate office. A few witnesses have also come forward claiming Reade told them about the alleged assault, and a video of a Larry King Live episode recently surfaced allegedly featuring Reade's mother calling in and alluding to her daughter's encounter with Biden.
Biden has previously said women should be believed when coming forward with allegations of sexual misconduct.
