Charlotte Pence Bond started a new show geared toward children called “Littles News Briefing,” which helps answer questions that are on kids’ minds amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Pence Bond had the idea when she thought about how she could best help kids feel “more secure and more informed.”
In an interview with Fox News, Pence Bond said she thought back to what her life was like after September 11 when she was eight years old and wasn’t allowed to watch the news because it would have scared her. She figured some children may be in similar situations with parents who are glued to the television watching for coronavirus updates.

“I wanted to create a show where kids could have their own little news briefing and have the information they need to,” she explained of the program.
“I’m trying to break it down by giving them facts,” she explained.
Bond has interviewed her father, Vice President Mike Pence, who is heading up the White House coronavirus task force, as well as her mother, second lady Karen Pence, among other guests.
She has helped answer kids’ questions about social distancing guidelines, when schools will reopen, when kids might be able to see their friends again, how the virus spreads, why COVID-19 is as serious as it is, and more.
