On Wednesday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) launched a webpage that shows where fence construction is planned, taking place, or already completed along the southern border. The webpage features an interactive map where users can see the details of the various construction sites along the southern border.
A video sits atop of the webpage showing fencing being installed along parts of the border. The footage shows construction that occurred throughout the month of Feb. 2020.
An interactive map allows users to see the status of the various fencing projects. Details such as the name of each project, the length of fencing miles, and the project's status are available for each construction site.
At the bottom of the webpage, a graphic states that 170 miles of new or existing fencing have been completed along the border to date.
Democrats and liberal activists have called on the Trump administration to halt construction along the border during the coronavirus pandemic. But a wall that stops potentially infected individuals from spreading the coronavirus or other diseases wantonly throughout the United States seems like a prudent measure given the current situation.
