MSNBC Reporter Says 'N*****' While Covering Death of Kobe Bryant

UPDATE:

MSNBC reporter Alison Morris responded to overwhelming criticism on Twitter after saying what many heard to be a racial slur while reporting on the death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant on Sunday. In a tweet, the reporter denies that she said a racial slur, claiming she "unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and Lakers to say 'Nakers.'"

ORIGINAL POST:

NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on Sunday morning. While covering the tragic story, MSNBC reporter Alison Morris appears to have used the word n****** in reference to the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team which Kobe played on for 20 years.

The MSNBC reporter described Bryant as "the kind of star that was perfectly cast on the Los Angeles N****** -- Los Angeles Lakers." MSNBC reportedly has a 15-second delay in which the left-wing news outlet was able to prevent the racial slur from being heard in some markets.

The uncensored clip is making the rounds on Twitter along with a chorus of calls for the network to fire the reporter.

WARNING: OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE

If this happened on Fox News, MSDNC would spend the rest of the election reporting on it. It would probably be introduced as a third article of impeachment against the president.
