Border Patrol Agents Arrest Three Violent Illegal Aliens

Three violent criminals who illegally entered the country were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents in the Tucson Sector this past week.

On Tuesday, 34-year-old Francisco Javier Cruz-Ramirez was discovered by Border Patrol agents while patrolling a canyon near the city of Nogales, Arizona. The Mexican national had previously been arrested and charged with kidnapping and other serious misconduct involving weapons in Maricopa County, Arizona back in 2010. After serving time in prison, Cruz-Ramirez was returned to Mexico in Oct. 2015.

Agents also apprehended Alberto Vazquez-Valdez on Tuesday, after observing the Mexican national illegally entering the United States west of Nogales. According to CBP, Vazquez-Valdez is an admitted, documented member of the violent Sureños gang.

Two days later, agents encountered another gang member who illegally entered the United States near the small town of Sasabe, Arizona. Alonso Aleman, a 39-year-old Honduran national with a long criminal history, is a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) street gang.

All three dangerous aliens are currently being held in federal custody pending federal immigration charges.
