The Debate Hasn't Even Started Yet and Joe Biden's Team Is Already Taking a Victory Lap

Hours before the 2020 Democratic presidential debate, Joe Biden's campaign team mistakenly sent out a post-debate email to supporters.

"I'm leaving the fifth Democratic debate now," the email read. "I hope I made you proud out there and I hope I made it clear to the world why our campaign is so important."

The email was sent a little after 3 p.m. EST and the debate, co-hosted by MSNBC and The Washington Post, doesn't start until 9 p.m.

According to the Daily Caller, once Biden's team realized their mistake, they sent another email admitting their error.

“You might have just gotten an email from Joe about just getting off of the debate stage. That’s our bad,” the email said. “We know Joe is going to make us proud tonight. We were just so excited for it that we accidentally hit send too soon."

Here's the real kicker: along with their apology, the email asks for supporters to "chip in" because they still have “$90,000 we’ve gotta raise before the debate.”

“Thanks, and sorry again!” the email concluded.

If this is any indicator of how crazy Uncle Joe will perform during tonight's debate, things aren't looking so hot for the former vice president. It's no surprise though. Biden is no stranger to gaffes. Just this past weekend he made another dumb comment about firearms, saying 9mm handguns should be banned. Then again he also claimed the Trump economy isn't booming while admitting that he "doesn't look at the numbers."
