Trump Predicts How Bloomberg Will Affect the 2020 Race

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is expected to enter the race for the White House on Friday. Instead of making President Trump nervous, it sounds like Bloomberg is just another contender for him to mock.

"Little Michael will fail," Trump said at the White House. "He'll spend a lot of money. He's got a lot of issues."

He doesn't know Bloomberg all that well, but he knows him "well enough" to know he "doesn't have the magic" to do well. But still, he's rooting for him.

"There's nobody I'd rather run against than little Michael," Trump said, predicting he'll help derail Joe Biden's campaign.

Somehow, in this morning's "The View," co-host Joy Behar translated that to mean he's "scared" of Bloomberg.

CNN came to the same conclusion.

One person who may have helped convince Bloomberg to jump in the race is Judge Judy, who endorsed the former mayor in an op-ed for USA Today. She says she's supporting this "self-made billionaire" because he's the moderate voice the country desperately needs right now.

An independent, tough-minded businessman, he represents our best chance to bring America together again and begin the long national process of healing. Unlike those on the far the right and the far left who use their bully pulpit to divide us, he’s a pragmatist, a man who has shown time and again that he knows how to get things done and cares more about results than ideology. That’s a skill in short supply these days, on both sides. (USA Today)
