Report: Durham Has Expanded His Investigation of Russia Probe Origins

United States Attorney John Durham is broadening the scope of his investigation into the origins of the counterintelligence investigation into Russia and the Trump campaign, according to a new report.

Fox News has learned that due to the investigation’s findings, the timeline has expanded.

“[B]ased on what he has been finding, Durham has expanded his investigation adding agents and resources, the senior administration officials said,” Fox News’s Bret Baier and Jake Gibson report. “The timeline has grown from the beginning of the probe through the election and now has included a post-election timeline through the spring of 2017, up to when Robert Mueller was named special counsel.”

Durham, who Attorney General William Barr tasked with conducting the investigation, has been speaking with a number of sources, including some in foreign countries, Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said last month.

“Attorney General Bill Barr and Durham traveled to Italy recently to talk to law enforcement officials there about the probe and have also had conversations with officials in the U.K. and Australia about the investigation, according to multiple sources familiar with the meetings," the Fox News report continued.

Reuters reported on Tuesday that “Durham’s probe seems to be moving at a more deliberate pace in Washington."
