Conservatives were so busy being outraged at the Democratic candidates' radical answers from Tuesday's debate, that they perhaps missed one of the most radical questions. But CNN anchor Don Lemon had a whopper.
This is a real question CNN "journalist" Don Lemon asked tonight at the #DemDebate:

"What do you say to those Trump voters who prioritize the economy over the president's bigotry?"
What a joke. pic.twitter.com/wQ7y6EoZZ2
Lemon directed that question at Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), who did not take the bait. Instead, she calmly explained to Lemon that “there are people that voted for Donald Trump before that aren’t racist; they just wanted a better shake in the economy. And so I would appeal to them.”
She emphasized that point on Wednesday morning. Yeah, President Trump is racist, Klobuchar explained, but "not all" of his supporters are.
"This President is racist... You have to separate it out from some of the people that voted for him... Some of them are racist, yeah. But not all of them are." - Sen. Klobuchar on her appeal to Trump voters who disapprove of his racist comments but vote for his economic plans. pic.twitter.com/xihrZNZriZ

Klobuchar's answer did little to alter Lemon's agenda. Conservatives called out the "biased" moderator, who clearly wasn't even trying to be neutral last night.
CNN's Don Lemon describes Trump supporters as people who overlook bigotry because they like the economy. "Basket of Deplorables" would have been more succinct. #DemDebate

Dear @DanaBashCNN, @jaketapper and @donlemon,
— Larry Elder (@larryelder) July 30, 2019
At least two of you, Tapper and Lemon, have declared the president "racist." Doesn't this disqualify you as a "debate moderator"?#DemocratDebate2020
"Donald Trump is pursuing a re-election strategy based—in part—on racial division."

—Don Lemon, @CNN moderator of the #DemDebate
The Trump campaign especially did not appreciate the implication that all of the president's supporters are bigots.

So surprising that @donlemon, the least professional on stage, makes a statement instead of a question.

He is complete #FakeNews and is so ostentatious!
And then, the president himself weighed in.
CNN’s Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television, insinuated last night while asking a debate “question” that I was a racist, when in fact I am “the least racist person in the world.” Perhaps someone should explain to Don that he is supposed to be neutral, unbiased & fair,.....

....or is he too dumb (stupid} to understand that. No wonder CNN’s ratings (MSNBC’s also) have gone down the tubes - and will stay there until they bring credibility back to the newsroom. Don’t hold your breath!
