Bill de Blasio Quotes Che Guevara At Miami Airport Rally UPDATE: De Blasio Apologizes For Being A Moron

UPDATE:

It would appear Bill De Blasio is not a supporter of the socialist murderer Che Guevara, he's just a moron. The presidential candidate just apologized via Twitter for using Che's catchphrase in Miami today.

ORIGINAL STORY:

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke Thursday afternoon at Miami International Airport in solidarity with Delta and American Airlines employees protesting working conditions. While there, the radical leftist presidential candidate quoted Cuban revolutionary commander and murderer Che Guevara to show support for the workers. His remarks come in the same city that many migrants fled to in order to escape oppression brought upon by Guevara throughout Latin America as well as the Castro regime in Cuba.

As reported by the Miami Herald, "ramp and cargo workers at Miami International Airport who service Delta and American Airlines are striking Thursday to urge their employer, Eulen America, to improve working conditions."

"Workers for Eulen describe the current conditions as unbearable: break-less shifts on the overheated tarmac, broken equipment held together with makeshift ties, no paid vacation and sick days, and retaliation from management for speaking out," the paper adds. "The striking workers are not unionized."

Young America's Foundation offers a brief history of Che's crimes as part of their "No More Che Day" project each year:

Che Guevara was an international terrorist and mass murderer. During his vicious campaigns to impose Communism on countries throughout Latin America, Che Guevara trained and motivated the Castro regime’s firing squads that executed thousands of men, women, and children.

For decades, the Left tried to glorify murderers and thugs like Lenin, Mao, and even Stalin. They are discredited today because people know about their evil deeds. Che is more obscure. He is one notorious figure who is idolized by the Left and hailed as a “hero,” yet most students never learn the truth about his cult of violence.

De Blasio's choice to quote one of the worst leaders of the 20th century left some wondering why the man would quote the despot responsible for so much misery and death under the guise of socialism.

De Blasio's comments come the day after the first 2020 Democratic presidential debate in which all candidates hinted the party would be moving decidedly left towards socialism.
