Jim Carrey Posts Arguably the Most Graphic and Accurate Description of Abortion While Attempting to Criticize Alabama Governor

Far-left Hollywood actor and recent political cartoonist Jim Carrey posted a grotesque, but ultimately accurate depiction of abortion in an attempt to criticize Alabama Governor Kay Ivey after she signed legislation which bans abortion, even in the cases of incest and rape. In doing so Carrey's cartoon gave a glimpse of what actually happens during an abortion - a human life with full potential is killed, and in many cases literally vacuumed out of the womb without regard.

Carrey tweeted his drawing on Saturday afternoon saying, "I think If you’re going to terminate a pregnancy, it should be done sometime before the fetus becomes Governor of Alabama. "

On May 15th, Gov. Ivey signed the "Alabama Human Life Protection Act" which she says "stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious & that every life is a sacred gift from God."

Since then, social media has been inundated with thousands, if not millions, of posts with inaccurate information such as the idea that human life is not killed during an abortion. However, Carrey's cartoon shows quite the opposite of those sorts of fallacies.

In fact, what is being shown in Carrey's cartoon of Gov. Ivery resembles an "aspiration abortion" where the baby inside the women is more or less suctioned out with an extremely high volume vacuum.

As www.abortionprocedures.com notes, "A suction, or aspiration, D&C abortion is performed in-clinic. Prior to the abortion, the woman should receive an exam that includes an ultrasound in order to confirm that she is pregnant and diagnose any complicating factors, such as a tubal, or ectopic, pregnancy. An abortionist uses metal rods or medication to dilate the woman’s cervix and gain access to the uterus, where the baby resides. The abortionist then inserts a suction catheter to vacuum the child from the womb. The suction machine has a force approximately 10 to 20 times the force of a household vacuum cleaner. The procedure is completed as the abortionist uses a sharp metal device called a curette to empty the remains of the child from the mother’s uterus."

This sort of abortion occurs between week five and week 13 of the pregnancy. During this time, the baby inside the womb is "developing rapidly." For example in week eight, the child already has a heartbeat and "the preborn baby’s hands and feet are developing, and the neural pathways in the baby’s brain start to form." By week 12, "the child develops reflexes, and can open and close fingers, respond to touch, and make movements with his or her mouth. The child’s nerve cells are developing rapidly."

As for Carrey's glib and crude remarks about the cartoon itself as well as Gov. Ivey, the actor is unwittingly showing that the baby inside the mother's womb is indeed life who has a future ahead with untold potential at all stages of pregnancy.

Here, former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levitano explains what exactly happens during a D&C abortion. This procedure is the most prevalent form of abortion.
