CNN Analyst Compares Trump's CPAC Speech To Hitler, Says Putin Wrote It

CNN analyst and former Obama administration advisor Samantha Vinograd recoiled at President Donald J. Trump's CPAC speech, accusing the current commander-in-chief of sounding like mass murderer and dictator Adolph Hitler as well as having his speech written by Russia's Vladimir Putin.

In particular, Vinograd was aghast that President Trump mentioned preserving "our heritage."

“Well, Ana, his statement makes me sick, on a personal level, preserving your heritage, reclaiming our heritage, that sounds a lot like a certain leader that killed members of my family and about six million other Jews in the 1940s,” Vinograd told the host. “But our national security level, the president talks about preserving our heritage as a catch-all for implementing policies that misallocate resources.”

As for further evidence that President Trump is Nazi-like, Vinograd pointed to his use of emergency border wall funding.

"He pretends there are massive flows of illegal immigrants coming over our borders and is spending billions of dollars on a border wall emergency, instead of paying attention to real national security threats. He sounds a lot like despotic leaders that have talked about white heritage and white nationalism around the world and is putting resources in the wrong place, and pretending that there are foreign people trying to influence our country in a way that just isn’t accurate."

Vinograd ended her remarks by saying that due to his vitriolic comments regarding American politics, it would appear geopolitical rival Putin co-authored the president's address.

"He denigrated our institution, the Department of Justice and U.S. Congress. He spread misinformation and conspiracy theories, he undermined the credibility of several of our institutions, he sewed divisions, he sewed confusion, he was speaking to his base, but he was also saying things that really looked like Vladimir Putin scripted his speech,” said the current Senior Adviser for the Biden Insitute.

Noting that she indeed work to advocate causes that former Vice President Joe Biden believes in, Matt Wolking called out the CNN analyst for her blatant hypocrisy. Biden, like many American politicians, has remarked on the importance of "heritage" in the past. In 2011, Biden told a crowd of people, " "It's time to fight back! It's time to reclaim our heritage!"
