Hey Look, at Least One Group Named Nikki Haley 'Woman of the Year'

Nikki Haley has broken conservative boundaries by making the cover of Newsweek and Time magazine in the past few years. But, she's yet to rack up the number of accolades some of her more liberal fellow female leaders have enjoyed. As a now former member of the Trump administration, Haley will know that the media isn't going to make it easy for her.

One of Glamour's women of the year, for instance, included Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), who was recognized by the magazine as "the politician women—and all Americans, for that matter—so desperately need." Then we had the dozens of features glorifying Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Hillary Clinton, Liz Warren, etc.

Haley may not have made the cut for Glamour or this list from The Independent, but one group recognizes and appreciates all the work the outgoing U.S. ambassador to the UN did on the international stage. Likud Herut UK, an "unapologetic voice of Zionism" in Britain, was proud to name Haley the "Woman of the Year."

Throughout her tenure at the UN, Haley made sure her fellow members knew that the U.S. would be standing up for her friend Israel. So, when the majority of countries voted for a resolution condemning Trump's decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and officially recognize it as the nation's capital, Haley told them in a biting speech that the United States would be "taking names."

The ambassador also pushed back at the UN for the years it's spent condemning Israel with dozens of lopsided resolutions. She sounded off when they didn't pass other resolutions, like the one that would have condemned the terrorist group Hamas, who continues to launch rockets into Israeli communities.

That's why pro-Israel groups are giving her accolades, and why Israeli officials were especially heartbroken to hear Haley say she's stepping down as ambassador.
