Incumbent Gov. Brian Sandoval (R) termed out, which left Nevada's governor's seat wide open. Clark County Commission Steve Sisolak (D) and Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt (R) duked it out on Election Day.
According to Real Clear Politics, most polls showed Laxalt winning by a few percentage points.
Various media outlets project Sisolak to win the seat.

Sisolak was declared the winner with 49.81 percent of the vote.
