The Gun Industry Should Send Parkland Three A Gift Basket For Record Firearms Sales In March

Well, if there’s one thing the Parkland Three—Cameron Kasky, Emma Gonzalez, David Hogg—March for Our Lives, and the anti-gun Left can take credit for, it’s the record number of firearms sales that occurred in March. In fact, it’s an all-time high for the month of March; over 2.7 million guns were sold.

Are we shocked? No—we have scores of op-eds, rallies, and media appearances, where these folks say they’re not after the Second Amendment, even though they are. What’s more insulting is that they think they can convince us to not believe what they’re actually saying about stripping gun rights.

We just want common sense gun control, they say, which also includes poll-tested language that is really backdoor bans for whole sets of firearms. To the Left, any semiautomatic is a so-called assault weapon, but they say they’re only targeting rifles. If applied, it would pertain to whole sets of handguns, which have the same firing system as an AR-15: one bullet per trigger pull.

If that wasn’t clear, the magazine limits work in the same manner. Anti-gun liberals want a 10-round magazine limit, though scores of handguns and rifles carry more than that. The prohibition and sale of these firearms under the Left’s guidelines is a gun ban. There’s no debate here. We can all see this coming from eons away. Only the gullible and those dumb enough to take a politician’s word on everything think otherwise.

I think for now, the gun industry should give these kids a gift basket for giving the firearms industry a shot to the arm. The first vestiges of this were already circling after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February. A gun show in Tampa, Florida saw record attendance, with 7,000 people lining up after CNN hosted that kangaroo court-style town hall event where the most liberal of Floridians decided to take their swipes at the GOP, the NRA, conservatives, and gun owners.
