***Original Post***
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) has collapsed during a three-mile bike race held by the American Council of Life Insurers. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was administered by three bystanders and [T]he senator was eventually taken away in an ambulance. The incident occurred around the 2-mile mark, according the Associated Press. The news organizations added that Mr. Tillis was initially unconscious, but was revived. The time in which he was unconscious was laster described as very brief. No CPR was administrated, which is why it;'s been stricken from the post. It turns out that Mr. Tillis was just dehydrated and overheated.
Sadly, there are some folks that are being horrible in their reactions to this medical episode. All I can say, or anyone who’s normal for that matter, is get well soon, senator.
