Trump Has a New Nickname for Chuck Todd After Anchor Spends Friday Night Analyzing Russia Investigation

President Trump was back at it on Twitter Saturday morning with fresh nicknames for NBC's Chuck Todd, host of "Meet the Press," who spent much of Friday analyzing Russia's potential ties to the White House.

It was no April's Fools joke. Trump has long been critical of the media's reporting on the Russia controversy while ignoring what he and his administration say is the real scandal - that Obama intelligence officials spied on his transition team. House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes offered Trump some vindication for that claim last month when he said he had seen information to convince him that Trump's team had been the target of spying.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer echoed the president's wishes on Friday when he argued with CNN's Jim Acosta over what factors are most important in the Russia investigation. The press should be focused on the leaks coming out of the White House - not dates and tweets, Spicer insisted.

In a follow up tweet to his "sleepy eyes" comment, Trump surmised that the media is obsessed with the "fake" Russian story because they are embarrassed for being so off in their election predictions.

Todd responded with a counter tweet ensuring the president he got plenty of shut eye last night.
