As a child, I was always taught not to count my chickens before they hatched. Apparently Hillary Clinton never heard this proverb, as she had already set up a nearly-complete cabinet and West Wing before election day.
Mike Allen of Axios released a list of the potential appointees in his Tuesday morning newsletter. Some notable picks: John Podesta as Secretary of State, Howard Schulz as Secretary of Labor, Sheryl Sandberg as Treasury Secretary, Loretta Lynch staying on as Attorney General, Huma Abedin as Deputy Chief of Staff, and "Likely an African American" at the EPA.
.@mikeallen reports HRC cabinet was ready by elex.

It was that last bit of "Likely an African American" that had people rolling their eyes and chuckling.
"Likely an African American" would have been an inspired choice for EPA head https://t.co/9r9YTwsL8n

"Likely An African American" would have really transformed the culture at EPA (or at Education). https://t.co/9odTvhZWRb

It's quite a shame we didn't get Hillary's cabinet. Hat tip to her for the "Likely an African American" EPA choice. Very qualified. pic.twitter.com/8tHhneOrkS

I mean can you IMAGINE the shitstorm if Trump's list of appointees included "likely an African American" for the head of an Agency?

Also, "likely an African-American"? Seriously? https://t.co/zG4fG28Nil

Clinton's people also popped champagne on the campaign plane before the polls even closed.
Yikes.
