What We're Grateful For: Happy Thanksgiving From The Townhall Team

The team here at Townhall Media would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. Here are some of the things we're thankful for in 2016:

***

Another year is almost over and Thanksgiving is upon us. As we prepare to dive into the mashed potatoes and homemade pumpkin pie, there are so many things to be grateful for: good health, close family, friends, four-legged friends, warm homes, plentiful food, fulfilling work, happy relationships and so much more.

Thanksgiving is as good a time as ever to remember how blessed we are to be Americans living in the greatest country on earth. As we sit down to fill our bellies today, be sure to make a toast to the men and women serving in our armed forces who aren’t home with friends or family. Instead, they’re in a far off place protecting our way of life and bringing hope to some of the darkest corners of the world.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I'm deeply thankful for my wonderful family, my incredible friends, my fantastic colleagues, and my good health. It's been an interesting -- and at times, trying -- year, but I'm reminded of my many blessings every day. Finally, a new addition to the list: I'm thankful for my new puppy, Corduroy! I'll be even more thankful for him once he's housebroken.

I'm grateful for all of God's blessings--both great and small. Professionally, I'm very thankful the election is over and to be surrounded by a team of hardworking and caring people who have become like family over the years. And personally, I'm beyond grateful for a new addition to the family that has brought joy beyond any I've known.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful, politics-free Thanksgiving this year.

First, as always, I'm thankful to God for His many blessings. One of those blessings is my niece, Payton, who (people have told me), is the cutest baby ever. She turns 1-year-old on Pearl Harbor Day. I'm thankful for my Dad who reads my coverage here at Townhall and offers story pitches. I'm thankful for my Mom who always cracks me up with her political rants. I'm thankful to my sister in law...and even my brother. I may not be able to fit every branch in this post, but I'm thankful for all of my family tree.

I'm thankful for my boyfriend Hudson, who has introduced me to country music, NASCAR, and, as of last week, the rodeo.

I'm thankful for the team at Townhall for making election night short on stress and full on fun.

Speaking of, I'm thankful the election is over.

Happy Thanksgiving Townhall family!

This year, I'm thankful for many things: For my job, my loving family (including its newest member, my cousin's brand-new baby girl), my amazing friends, and my incredible church. For the restorative powers of DayQuil. For my favorite band going on a bunch of tours and giving me something to look forward to throughout this trainwreck of a year. To have the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and abroad and meet some incredible people. For the existence of Momofuku CCDC and its chilled spicy noodles (so good!). For Mickey waffles and the ability to eat them whenever the urge strikes me. For a roof over my head, a DVR, fantastic roommates, and a big comfy couch. I couldn't ask for more.

It's been a rough year for many of us, and at times it's been hard to remember to acknowledge the good things in life. I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season.

First, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It’s the time to eat turkey, drink beer, and watch football. It’s perfect. For some families, the election sort of torpedoed those plans, but that doesn’t mean you don’t reflect on what to be thankful for this year.

I’m thankful to be an American, to be adopted into a loving family, and to our men and women in uniform who make sure we can celebrate our holiday in safety and peace. I’m thankful for our veterans, especially our Korean War veterans and those who died over there since I, and thousands of other adoptees, wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for their bravery and sacrifice. My family is healthy. My parents are doing great. You have to be thankful for that. I’m thankful for our police, who put their lives on the line to ensure law and order is maintained, and to stop folks from doing stupid things during the holidays, like driving drunk. I’m also thankful to work with such a great team at Townhall Media.

Lastly, I’m thankful that Hillary Rodham Clinton is not our president, will never be president, and that the Clinton chapter in American politics is over.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I am thankful to be a citizen of the United States of America, the greatest country the world has ever seen. I am thankful for my supportive family and friends who push me to be my best. I look forward to watching our country thrive and reach new heights in the 21st century.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am thankful for having a great job, a loving family, and friends who are always there for me even while I'm miles away. I moved to the DC area a year and a half ago knowing no one and afraid of what the future held for me. In that time, I am so thankful for the new friends I've made, the amazing girlfriend I spend my free time with, and a place at Townhall that makes me feel like home. I am also thankful for Christine and her dedication to Townhall's editorial team.

2016 has been... interesting, but there’s plenty to be thankful for. Most of all I’m thankful for my awesome family (especially my Mom) and friends. I’m also very thankful to be a part of the amazing Townhall team; coming in to work with them everyday is a yuuuuge privilege. I’d be lost without my social media, so I’m obviously very thankful for that. I'm also extremely thankful that Hillary Clinton did not win the presidency. Finally, we should be thankful all the time that we have the freedoms we do, and remember the men and women who have given so much to protect America. This Thanksgiving take the time to give back to a Vet in need, it can really go a long way. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

For the past four months, I’ve been able to have this amazing internship with Townhall. I’ve learned so much from all of my coworkers, who have taken me under their wings. I’m blessed with a supportive family, great friends, and a loving God. Without all three I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t have the opportunities that I do or the courage to take advantage of them.

I’m also thankful for all the pie I’ll be eating this weekend.

I am thankful for my amazing kids, my beautiful wife, and the game of hockey, which I have the privilege to play and coach.
