There are more chilling details about the ambush against law enforcement in Dallas that left 12 police officer shot, with five dying from their injuries. During a new conference earlier this morning, Police Chief David Brown said that the hostage negotiator was able to obtain some information from the now deceased shooter who was held up at the El Centro College parking complex. Before dying as a result of a bomb robot setting off a device within the vicinity of the shooter, he said that he was “upset about Black Lives Matter,” he was upset about the shooting deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in Louisiana and Minnesota respectively, he was upset with white people, and that he wanted to kill white people, especially white police officers. The suspect then said that he was not affiliated with any groups, and that he did this heinous action alone.

Brown told reporters at an early morning news conference: “The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter,” during negotiations. “He said he was upset about the recent shootings, he was upset at white people. The suspect said he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.”“The suspect said that he was not affiliated with any groups and he stated that he did this alone. The suspect said other things that are part of this investigation,” Brown said.
A further three suspects are in police custody, but authorities declined to provide any further details.
Leah wrote about President Obama’s remarks, where he called these attacks horrifying, and that the nation stands behind the people of Dallas and their police department.
“Let’s be clear: there is no possible justification for these kind of attacks or any violence against law enforcement,” he said.
