Sen. Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi, said on Wednesday that she’s not worried at all about threats from her husband’s campaign rival, Donald Trump.
“Most of the things Donald Trump says have no basis in reality,” Heidi Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin. “We are not worried. We’re focusing on our campaign, and we’re going to continue to do that.”
She was responding to the racy photos of Trump’s wife anti-Trump SuperPAC Make America Awesome used in Utah. The ad showed an image of her from a GQ photo shoot and said: “Meet Melania Trump. Your next first lady.”
The real estate mogul took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the ad and issue a threat.

Cruz had to inform Trump, however, that his campaign had nothing to do with the ad, but it didn’t matter much to the businessman, who still believes Cruz was behind it.

Cruz’s wife also said her husband's campaign was not responsible for the ad.
“We have run our campaign with the principles that Ted and I believe in,” she said. “A lot of the things that are done from time to time are not from our campaign.”
Cruz told reporters on Wednesday his wife wasn’t afraid of The Donald.
"She is used to dealing with bullies. Donald Trump doesn't scare Heidi remotely," he said.
