In Other News: Did You Know Cory Booker Invented the iPad?

Here are some other highlights and headlines that I noticed over at Ransom Notes Radio:

The White House claims they are opposed to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu speaking before congress because it might impact the upcoming Israeli elections. In completely unrelated news, Obama’s campaign team is in Israel working to get Netanyahu thrown out of office.

The EU is pushing for new sanctions against Russia because of increased violence in eastern Ukraine. Of course, Vladimir Putin is blaming Ukraine for the recent unrest… Obviously, their country got in the way of Putin’s tanks.

As it turns out, a state-run Russian oil company is deeply connected with an effort to restrict US oil exploration and hydraulic fracturing. I didn’t realize those Russians were such environmentalists.

Salon.com said that men should be forced to take paternity leave. Salon may not be aware of this, but under certain circumstances, grown-ups are often capable of making their own life decisions.

Democrat Cory Booker shared a touching story about his 2009 trip to Israel. He explained that he was able to use his iPad to share the message of Martin Luther King Jr. while visiting the holy sites in the Middle East. The story was even more impressive, given that the iPad had not yet been invented.

After major panic, preemptive road closures, storm related curfews, and stern warnings, winter storm Juno only dumped a few inches on New York City. New England, on the other hand, got hit harder than expected. Oh, and it’s about 70 degrees in Denver. So, pass the popcorn while we watch Al Gore sycophants try to blame your SUV for Mother Nature’s bizarre behavior.
