Reminder: The Debt is Still a Major Problem Leading to a Crisis

Yesterday the House voted once again to raise the debt ceiling on $17,263,355,735,226.78 of U.S. debt to $18,200,000,000,000 trillion without a single cut in spending to show for it. Today, the Senate did the same. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the National Debt will make up 74 percent of GDP by the end of 2014.

And as a reminder, Detroit was nothing compared to what we're seeing now.

What could possibly go wrong?
