Speaking to reporters today at the White House, Press Secretary Jay Carney reassured that Healthcare.gov will be ready to provide "a majority" of people with health insurance coverage by November 30, eleven days from now.
"We're on track to hit our mark to make the website functionality so that the vast majority of users [can sign up]," Carney said.
As Guy already detailed extensively, 60-70 percent of Healthcare.gov isn't even built yet and payment systems haven't been set up yet. Just in case you're counting, the federal government has already spent $600 million on a website that's 30-40 percent completed.
The White House also repeatedly said Healthcare.gov would be ready to go on October 1. 50+ days later, we know that wasn't true.
