Sen. Nelson: Obama has 'Moral Authority,' Not Constitutional Authority

Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., admits he can see no constitutional justification for President Obama to demand BP pay $20 billion into a regulated escrow fund. Do you think that gives him pause at all? Nope:

Amazingly, a United States Senator readily admits an acting president doesn't have the constitutional authority to perform a "shakedown" of BP, but sees absolutely nothing wrong with it.  This is the typical liberal/progressive mantra: to hell with the constitution; it's for the "greater good."

And as a man who became a household name for accepting the infamous "Cornhusker Kickback" in exchange for his pro-ObamaCare vote, I don't think Ben Nelson is qualified to speak on the subject of "moral authority." For anything.
