'Who's The S**thole County Now': GQ Writer Mocks Trump As Wuhan Coronavirus Cases Spike in the U.S.

The Wuhan Coronavirus has ground the U.S. economy to a halt. Millions are now staying in their home, some of which due to government order, in order to prevent its spread. It’s highly contagious. It’s killed over 2,000 people in the U.S. and infected some 100,000 more. As of now, the United States leads the world in Wuhan virus cases. That’s a cause for concern. This disease isn’t near infecting or killing as many Americans as the seasonal flu does each year, but it could get there if Americans refuse to abide by the protocols put forward by health care officials. This isn’t a time for celebration or mockery, but alas Democrats and the liberal cannot help themselves. They still cannot get over the 2016 election, so when U.S. Wuhan cases reached number one, GQ writer Julia Ioffe decided to tweet “Who’s the s**thole country now?” a play on what Trump allegedly said about immigration from certain countries, like Haiti, which is a cesspool. No one says that Haiti is the jewel of the Caribbean, or Baltimore is the gem of the Chesapeake. They’re both crap areas to live.

Even Hillary Clinton has joined the fun (via Fox News):

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was blasted on social media Friday for her swipe against President Trump amid the growing coronavirus outbreak within the U.S.

Since the availability of testing kits has broadened in recent days, the number of confirmed cases in the U.S. has skyrocketed. On Thursday, the U.S. has reportedly outpaced both China and Italy with more than 97,000 reported cases.

Clinton took the latest developments as an opportunity to knock her former 2016 rival on Twitter.

"He did promise 'America First,'" Clinton wrote, referring to one of the president's oft-repeated campaign slogans.

We’re not a s**thole country, though liberals lust to turn it into one because they fundamentally hate America. When America loses, it’s a win—that’s the mindset of the American liberal. And if we’re going to play games, then let’s blame Democrats. New York City makes up half of all cases in the United States because their liberal politicians were abject failures, telling people to use public transportation and to otherwise not practice social distancing in February. Oh, and perhaps not canceling the Chinese New Year celebrations played a huge role—just a guess. If we’re number one in Wuhan cases, then Democrats helped make that happen.

I can play this game all day with the Left.

But for now, My Pillow is shifting production to make tens of thousands of medical masks a day, distilleries are now making hand sanitizer, 9,000 retired medical personnel from the U.S. military are volunteering to combat the outbreak, and other industries are doing their part, especially when it comes to ventilator manufacturing. American capitalism, business, and society will pull together to beat this outbreak, even if liberal America doesn’t want that to happen.
