If Trump's Impeachment Is So Vital to the Survival of the Country, Then Why Is This House Democrat Watching Golf?

How many times have Democrats lectured us about why they’re impeaching President Donald Trump? It’s to protect the country. It’s to uphold their oath. It’s to preserve the institutional integrity of the nation. It’s for the rule of law. It’s the reason why the Founders put these provisions in the Constitution, and it’s also for the Constitution as well. Yeah, my eyeballs can’t roll hard enough at the self-righteousness and nakedly partisan quasi-coup attempt these clowns are trying to pull. This impeachment circus has been planned since day one of the Trump presidency.

They’re blitzing now because it’s an election year and I think a great many of these Democrats know the candidates running for their party’s nomination cannot beat Trump. This is about keeping the progressive Left’s anti-Trump bloodlust sated. How else can you explain this impeachment nonsense and the House Democrats voting to approve Trump’s signature trade deal with Canada and Mexico? The whole thing is rather transparent. It’s political. It’s based on shoddy quid pro quo allegations stemming from a July phone call Trump had with the Ukrainians, where he allegedly put on his best Tony Soprano, trying to shake down the nation for a corruption probe into Hunter Biden’s board position at Burisma in exchange for military aid. Oh, and if this didn’t happen, no aid. The aid was sent. It was lethal aid; Trump gave them the Javelins that Obama refused to fork over.

And now, Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) has further exposed this effort and its unseriousness by getting caught watching golf while the House Judiciary Committee marked took votes (via Fox News):

Richmond appeared to have been watching a golf tournament on his laptop during a procedural roll call, which aired in full-view on CNN.
"What on earth is Democrat Rep. Cedric Richmond watching on his laptop during this impeachment markup?" GOP rapid response director Steve Guest asked. "To me, it looks like Rep. Richmond is watching the President’s Cup golf tournament. Richmond’s actions are a DISGRACE."
Guest added the hashtag, "#StopTheMaddess."

We all know the game here. It’s not about the rule of law, the country, the Constitution, or lawmakers’ oath of office. It’s about overturning the results of the 2016 election. It’s about the Democrats unable to handle losing in 2016. It’s about Trump Derangement Syndrome taking over the Democratic Party and the lengths they’ll go to remove a duly elected president from office. That sounds par of the course given the Left’s antics over the past three years.
